Allow URL objects

An allow URL object is a configuration element that

  • defines URLs that should be explicitly permitted through SD-WAN URL filtering feature

  • ensures allowed URLs are not subjected to any category-based filtering, and

  • takes precedence over blocked lists when the same item is configured in both allowed and blocked lists.

Allow URL object behavior

Important points to note about allow URL objects:

  • URLs that are allowed are not subjected to any category-based filtering.

  • If the same item is configured under both the allowed and blocked lists, the traffic is allowed.

  • If the traffic does not match either the allowed or blocked lists, it is subjected to category-based and reputation-based filtering.
